Saturday and I’m going for it this weekend so I’ll do another 4 Runcorn pubs.
This time I have to walk all the way to the canal near the old town, but it’s a perfect day , not too hot or cold.
Ten Flight Lock - Runcorn

A well deserving pint of Wainwrights Bitter when I finally arrive at the Ten Flight Lock. Another purpose built Marstons pub well positioned for the canal and Brindley theatre. Busy pub with lots of families eating.
The Lockdown- Runcorn

Just a short distance away is the Lockdown pub. A very busy bar with multiple screens, . The function room next door is being setup for a christening and it is all go, but a friendly Bartender serves me a refreshing Lager, Very nice looking pizza’s are served in the bar area.
The Northern Bar - Runcorn

Head along the canal and I can see the next destination on the other side. Just a short walk to a pedestrian bridge and I enter the Northern Bar. I settle for a pint of Fosters and sit in the beer garden.
The Halfway House- Runcorn

The last pub of the day and I’m exhausted now!! it’s not easy doing 4 pubs in a day following 4 the previous night but it feels like an achievement. I order a John smiths and sit in the garden awaiting Jane to drive me home. 38 pubs done now!!!
